Course Summary
The NRSWA Unit O1 Signing, Lighting and Guarding course is designed for operatives who are required to set up and maintain safe working areas on the public highway. The course focuses on protecting pedestrians, road users, and site staff through correct traffic management practices.
Training is delivered in line with the New Roads and Street Works Act and the Safety at Street Works and Road Works Code of Practice.

Day 1 Registration: 8:15 am
Day 1 Training: 8:30 am - 4 pm

Day 2 Training: 8:30 am - 4 pm
Late arrival policy: CASS Training Academy reserves the right to refuse entry to any delegate arriving 15 minutes or more after the course start time. Full course fees will still apply.
What You Will Learn

Set out signing, lighting, and guarding correctly

Use stop/go boards, temporary signals, and priority systems
Follow safe working practices on the highway
Who This Course Is For
This course is suitable for operatives carrying out street works or road works where signing, lighting, and guarding is required.
Prerequisites
There are no formal qualifications required to attend this course. Learners must be at least 16 years old.
Certification
Learners who successfully complete this course will be awarded NRSWA Unit O1 – Signing, Lighting and Guarding (Operatives) accreditation certificate and a SWQR card.

CASS Training Academy reserves the right to refuse entry to any delegate arriving 15 minutes or more after the course start time. The full course fee remains payable in that case.
