Course Summary
The PIA S6 Underground Survey (Duct Survey) course provides hands-on training for carrying out safe and compliant PIA duct surveys on the Openreach underground network. Learners are assessed on surveying joint boxes and associated duct routes in line with Communication Provider engineering requirements.
The course combines technical knowledge with practical assessment to ensure surveys are completed accurately and safely.

Day 1 Registration: 8:15 am

Late arrival policy: CASS Training Academy reserves the right to refuse entry to any delegate arriving 15 minutes or more after the course start time. Full course fees will still apply.
What You Will Learn

Carry out safe PIA duct surveys
Assess joint boxes and connected ductwork
Demonstrate competence in completing compliant PIA duct surveys
Who This Course Is For
This course is intended for engineers and contract partners working on the Openreach underground network who are required to complete PIA duct surveys.
Prerequisites
SA002 or SA006 and NRSWA Unit O1
PPE Requirements
The following PPE is mandatory:
High-visibility clothing
Safety boots
Safety helmet with four-point chin strap
Gloves
Eye protection
Learners without the required PPE may be refused entry, and course charges will still apply.
Certification
Learners who successfully complete this course will be awarded PIA - S6 PIA Underground Survey accreditation certificate.
