Course Overview

Course Summary

The Smart Awards SA001 Overhead Safety qualification provides essential training for individuals required to work on ladders and wooden poles. The course focuses on safe access, hazard awareness, and correct working practices in overhead environments.

Training covers three key areas: general overhead safety, wooden pole inspection, and working on joint user poles. Learners will develop an understanding of the risks involved and how to manage them effectively within telecommunications infrastructure.

There is a strong emphasis on legal responsibilities and safe systems of work. Learners are assessed on their ability to identify hazards and apply appropriate control measures when working at height.
