Course Summary
The Smart Awards SA005 Safe Moving and Handling course provides learners with the knowledge needed to carry out manual handling tasks safely within construction and utility environments. The course focuses on reducing the risk of injury by promoting correct techniques and safe working practices.
Learners will also gain an understanding of their responsibilities under health and safety legislation and how these apply to everyday moving and handling activities.
This course can be offered as 1 day, combined with SA007.

Late arrival policy: CASS Training Academy reserves the right to refuse entry to any delegate arriving 15 minutes or more after the course start time. Full course fees will still apply.

Prerequisites
There are no formal qualifications required to attend this course. Learners must be at least 16 years old.
Certification
Learners who successfully complete all course requirements will be awarded the Smart Awards SA005 – Safe Moving and Handling accreditation certificate.

Entry may be refused after 15 minutes
CASS Training Academy reserves the right to refuse entry to any delegate arriving 15 minutes or more after the course start time. The full course fee remains payable in that case.
