Course Overview
Course Summary
This course covers the installation of a fibre to the premises (FTTP) circuit from a Customer Splice/Service Point or coil into the property, resulting in a fully working FTTP service for the customer. Learners build the skills needed to recognise hazards and manage risks when carrying out FTTP installations at customer premises.
The course also strengthens awareness of health and safety legislation and ensures learners involved in FTTP installation are trained to the required standard. This qualification does not cover rooftop working.

Late arrival policy: CASS Training Academy reserves the right to refuse entry to any delegate arriving 15 minutes or more after the course start time. Full course fees will still apply.
What You Will Learn
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
Apply safe working practices throughout an FTTP customer installation
Install fibre cable from both internal and external Customer Splice/Service Points to an ONT within the customer's premises
Set up a router, complete commissioning and testing, and demonstrate a working FTTP service to the customer
Explain the relevant health and safety legislation and industry good practice that applies to this type of work
Identify the correct methods and materials for routing fibre from a Customer Splice/Service Point to an ONT
Complete commissioning, testing, and handover of a working FTTP service
Who This Course Is For
This course is aimed at individuals working in the telecoms industry who are involved in installing overhead and underground cabling to customer premises.
Prerequisites
Learners must be at least 16 years old. Learners must hold SA029, SA001, SA002 and NRSWA Unit O1.
Certification
Learners who successfully meet all assessment criteria will be awarded the Smart Awards SA104 FTTP Customer Installation accreditation certificate.

CASS Training Academy reserves the right to refuse entry to any delegate arriving 15 minutes or more after the course start time. The full course fee remains payable in that case.
